John & Terry reported on the regional meeting held on July 23 in Moville.
Some ideas were discussed, send out a member survey, hold a practice exempflication in the hall, ask our pastors & priests what they need from the Knights, have members lead bible study, give a gift to families and babies being baptized at church, host events to get members involved, other councils are doing things like " Guns & Roseries" Members say the rosery and then shoot trap, or "Beads & Bags" Say the rosery and have a cornhole tournament.
Tom brought a magazine to order a flag pole out of, it was voted on to proceed with the project. John will look into ordering the pole, and looking for someone to donate the concrete. Heart of the School pork chop feed will be Sept 25th from 4 - 7 pm. GK still needs to get with church to add events to the church bulletin.
Many members have replied to only receive an email version of the newsletter, again, if you would only like an email version, please reply to this email with your name. Thanks to all who have already replied. I am still compiling a list of who would like a print version.
John is looking into ordering and purchasing more KC shirts to have on hand to sell to members. Will have a price and hopefully some shirts on hand at next meeting
Anniversary night, discussion was held on how old our council is, and that we need to have a member event to celebrate us. Council was formed in 1910.
A group of people will be hosting the Olsen Center Bash on September 17. 3 bands will be playing starting at 5 pm. We will have an outdoor beer garden.
KC Phonathon will be held September 14th this year. Justin Freking & Dave Hill will be chair & co Chair. More to come on work schedules.

ASAP program (Aid & Support After Pregnancy). Supreme will donate $100 for every $500 that we donate to local support centers. A long discussion was had and we voted to donate $500 each to Her Health in LeMars and Mary's Choice in Sioux City. There is additional matching grant money available to the first 20 requests in the state to match the $500. Gk will get these applications in.
